Design & Build for Finaforte: a growing office with a warm, social heart in Amsterdam

Finaforte grew faster than expected. What once started as a compact floor full of energy soon proved too small for the expanding team.

The decision to relocate was obvious, but not to yet another building. Instead, they chose to move internally, to the top floor of the same building. Larger, brighter, and with the space to create a new workplace concept that truly reflects who they are.

A place with character

Together with architect Martijn, the design was developed step by step. Not a rigid office feel, but an environment with rounded forms and a soft sense of dynamism.

At the heart of the design is a social focal point: the bar. This is where everything comes together—the Friday afternoon drinks, informal meetings, as well as lectures and events related to their role as a financier. From the very beginning, the client was closely involved in the process. The striking “fish tank,” an idea conceived by the client themselves, adds a playful and transparent element to the space. Subtle neon lighting gives the interior just the right touch of quirkiness that suits the organization.

The result is a place where people meet, collaborate, and feel at home.
