Monumental office for BBB Cycling at Spaarneplein in The Hague

For BBB Cycling, part of Pon, BESPARK developed a 900 m² office in the monumental Post and Giro Building at Spaarneplein in The Hague. A design in which history, transparency, and identity come together.

Historic elements were deliberately preserved and serve as an important source of inspiration for the interior.

Subtle elements of the Pon identity are incorporated into the materials and finishes, making the office clearly recognizable as the company’s workplace. At the same time, the monumental character of the building has been preserved, ensuring that the interior reflects Pon’s identity while respecting the building’s historic appearance.

A modern office space in a monumental building

The office is designed as an open and light-filled workplace. Glass partitions allow daylight to flow through the space and connect the different work areas, while creating a clear visual link between Spaarneplein and BBB Cycling’s offices. This results in a spacious, modern, and accessible office, while preserving the building’s monumental character and unique historical details.

Previously, BESPARK optimized the nationally listed monument at Spaarneplein on behalf of Union Street and Spring Real Estate, retaining its authentic elements without losing its unique character. View this project here.
